Fall

fall

I went for a walk off the beaten path to celebrate Fall.  This is one of my favourite times of year, when the leaves start to change, the air is crisp and everything seems cool and still.

As I was out walking I meditated on the changing of the seasons, the representation of decline which comes in Fall, leading to the death of Winter then the rebirth of Spring.

I collected leaves and branches, bulbs and moss, to keep in my home to connect myself to the earth, to use in magicks and to enchant my house with the wisdom of the Crone.

I came back from my solitary walk in Fall woods feeling invigorated and uplifted, trusting that even as things die off, change is necessary, a part of life, and must happen to make way for other things.
